Treasury Operations Officer

About the role

The Treasury Operations Officer will join our international banking team in the City of London, supporting the processing and settlement of foreign exchange, money market, and securities transactions. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Process Treasury FX & MM transactions, verify dealer confirmations and ensure matching SWIFT messages before payment release.
• Handle security transactions, match and settle securities on custodian systems.
• Monitor clearing status of newly executed interest‑rate swap trades and ensure LCH clearing within regulatory timeframes.
• Review interest‑swap back‑office records, book upfront fees and process rate resets throughout the trade life.
• Daily monitoring and settlement of variation and initial margin with clearing brokers, reconciling margin call statements.
• Process inward and outward payments, meet currency cut‑off times and inform relevant departments.
• Maintain daily currency positions, reconcile correspondent bank statements and nostro balances, and provide timely position updates to Treasury dealers.
• Resolve outstanding nostro items, provide detailed commentary and escalate aging items to the Head of Department.
• Keep departmental procedures up‑to‑date and respond to internal and external stakeholder queries.
• Assist with audit requests and other ad‑hoc activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Treasury Operations department, preferably within an international banking environment.
• Experience with collateral management and margin processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SWIFT messaging.
• Familiarity with Reuters market data platforms.
• Knowledge of LCH clearing procedures.
• Collateral management expertise.
