Underwriting Operations Specialist (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Join CFC’s Operations team as an Underwriting Operations Specialist on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work closely with underwriters, IT, and cross‑functional stakeholders to embed new processes, improve system efficiency and support the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document and onboard operational process flows across underwriting and related teams.
• Act as liaison between underwriting leaders and IT to optimise system configuration for efficiency and quality.
• Generate and evaluate ideas for technology, people and process improvements, collaborating with relevant teams.
• Prepare reports, business cases and cost‑benefit analyses for senior management.
• Identify underwriting challenges, propose solutions and drive implementation with cross‑functional partners.
• Work with compliance and product teams to integrate new regulatory or product requirements into underwriting processes.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of the insurance industry and the end‑to‑end policy lifecycle, gained through underwriting, brokering or insurance operations experience.
• Excellent time‑management, organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
