Vehicle Damage Assessor

About the role

We are seeking a Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our fast‑paced Bristol bodyshop. You will support the Bodyshop Manager in delivering high‑quality repairs and excellent customer service while meeting profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate repair cost estimates manually and via company systems.
• Assist in planning resources, equipment levels and budgeting.
• Maintain workflow through capacity planning and adhere to workshop loading procedures.
• Monitor site KPIs, repair cost targets, CSI scores and address any shortfalls.
• Handle customer complaints from first contact to resolution, performing root‑cause analysis.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify accidental damage and prevent uninsured losses.
• Value vehicles at market rates and ensure chargeable materials are recorded for invoicing.

Required profile

• Relevant experience as an estimator in vehicle repair.
• Strong negotiation skills with third parties.
• Audatex and Escribe training with strict process adherence.
• Up‑to‑date technical knowledge, including SMART repairs.
• Awareness of and compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
