Victims Services Support Officer – Merseyside Police

About the role

The Victims Services Support Officer will support the commissioning, monitoring and development of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Victim Care grant‑funded services across Merseyside. Working within the Merseyside Police Force, you will help enhance support for victims of crime.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and reporting on grant‑funded projects to ensure effective delivery and compliance.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, community safety partnerships and other grant‑funded organisations.
• Prepare timely and accurate monitoring and financial reports, highlighting any deficiencies.
• Collaborate with the Commissioning Policy and Research Support Officer and provide cover as needed.
• Participate in awareness‑raising activities to promote the PCC’s victim services and support income‑generation efforts.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of victim services and grant funding processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with initiative to drive projects forward.
• Post‑graduate level education or equivalent relevant qualifications and experience.
