About the role
The Workforce Manager will lead research and insight development on workforce, skills and education challenges across key sectors. Working in a hybrid London setting, you will translate evidence and stakeholder intelligence into thought‑leadership, policy recommendations and practical solutions that shape the UK talent pipeline.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the creation of evidence‑based research on workforce, skills and higher‑education issues.
- Convert complex data and stakeholder insights into clear policy briefs, reports and presentations.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, education providers, professional bodies, policymakers and other strategic partners.
- Support advocacy by developing evidence‑driven positions for government and external audiences.
- Produce communications assets that promote organisational thought‑leadership.
- Manage project timelines, budgets and a direct report to ensure delivery against objectives.
Required profile
- Strong experience in policy, public affairs, research, workforce development, education or related fields.
- Proven track record of delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based research and policy outputs.
- Excellent analytical ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
- Deep understanding of the UK education, skills, workforce or STEM landscape.
- Demonstrated experience building senior stakeholder relationships across government, industry and academia.
- Effective project and priority management skills.
