Working Foreman – Social Housing & Special Projects

About the role

This is a genuine Working Foreman position based in the Midlands, split roughly 50% supervising site operations and 50% performing hands‑on trade work. You will lead small teams on a variety of refurbishment, maintenance and special projects, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise small site teams, maintaining high quality standards.
• Carry out hands‑on trade tasks when required.
• Manage projects such as care‑home refurbishments, listed‑building works, flood‑damage reinstatement, reactive maintenance and specialist refurbishments up to £1.6 million.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and on‑time project completion.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Working Foreman, Supervisor or Lead Multi‑Trade Operative.
• Strong background in construction, maintenance or refurbishment.
• Ability to lead teams while remaining hands‑on.
• Excellent communication and people‑management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Relevant certifications such as SSSTS, SMSTS or First Aid are advantageous.
