1-1 Teaching Assistant – Liverpool Primary School

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic 1‑to‑1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in primary schools across North Liverpool. The role can be part‑time, full‑time or temporary, with a daily rate of up to £105 and placements starting in September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support for a pupil with additional needs, both in class and during play.
• Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and monitoring progress of the individual education programme.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to implement tailored intervention plans.
• Maintain consistent routines and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children with SEMH, challenging behaviour or similar needs.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and able to work calmly and proactively.
• Strong communication and behaviour‑management abilities.
• Passion for making a positive difference in children’s lives.
