1:1 Behaviour Mentor – Primary School (Enfield)

About the role
This full‑time, term‑time position supports a pupil with social, emotional and behavioural needs in a primary school setting. You will work one‑to‑one with the child throughout the school day, helping them manage emotions, behaviour and engage positively with learning.
Key responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support during the school day.
- Implement agreed behaviour plans and strategies.
- Assist the pupil in regulating emotions and managing challenging behaviour.
- Encourage positive interactions with peers and staff.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team.
Required profile
- Calm, resilient and confident.
- Genuine commitment to supporting children to overcome barriers to learning.
- Experience with children who have SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
