1‑1 ESOL Tutor – Liverpool (Part‑time)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated 1‑1 ESOL Tutor to work with adult learners in the Liverpool area. The role combines classroom tuition with mentorship, helping students improve English proficiency while supporting their integration into the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised one‑to‑one ESOL lessons covering reading, writing, speaking and listening.
• Plan and deliver lesson materials that meet each learner’s needs and language level.
• Accompany students on local outings to develop practical language use and life‑skills such as CV writing and job‑search strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate regularly with the support team.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching in the UK, preferably with SEND or disengaged learners.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one) and two professional child‑related references.
