1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (Ealing)

About the role

This full‑time position is for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant in a caring primary school in Ealing, West London. You will work closely with a single pupil throughout the school day, helping them achieve academic progress, emotional wellbeing and social development. The role is ideal for recent graduates who wish to gain hands‑on experience before teacher training or a career in educational psychology.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to a pupil with additional learning needs across all subjects.
• Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals to deliver personalised learning strategies.
• Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, adjusting support as needed.
• Assist with behaviour management and promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Support the pupil’s emotional and social development during school activities and breaks.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Patient, empathetic, resilient and able to build a trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Willingness to work closely with teachers, SENCO and external specialists.
• Availability to start in September 2026 and work term‑time only.
