1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Islington)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for SEN pupils in a mainstream primary school in Islington. This full‑time, temporary position starts as soon as possible and runs until July 2026, with the potential for extension or permanent employment based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one learning support to SEN students across Key Stage 1 and 2.
• Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, adapting support as needed.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and follow school policies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to individual education plans.

Required profile

• Minimum one year experience supporting Key Stage 1 or 2 pupils in the UK.
• Current safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate with online update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
