About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a vibrant primary school in Hackney. The role starts in September and offers a full‑time, long‑term placement.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to help the pupil access the curriculum and participate confidently in classroom activities.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning strategies.
- Encourage independence and support both academic and social development.
- Monitor progress and adapt support plans as needed.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly ASD.
- Committed, caring and adaptable with a genuine passion for inclusive education.
- Reliable and able to commute easily to Hackney.
