1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Year 4, ADHD)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with ADHD in a welcoming primary school in Haringey. The role starts in September and offers a full‑time, long‑term placement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one‑to‑one support throughout the school day, helping the pupil access the curriculum.
• Implement personalised strategies agreed with the class teacher and SENCO to promote independence.
• Monitor progress and adapt support to meet academic and social development goals.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent inclusion practices.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly ADHD.
• Patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with children.
• Reliable attendance and ability to commute to Haringey.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SEN strategies and classroom support techniques.
• Ability to work closely with teachers and SENCO.
