1:1 Support Assistant – Enfield (Sep 2026)

About the role

This full‑time, term‑time contract role provides dedicated one‑to‑one support to a pupil with additional needs in a primary school in Enfield, London. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to implement the pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan and help them engage fully with school life.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one support to the assigned pupil throughout the school day.
• Implement strategies from the pupil’s EHCP under SENDCO guidance.
• Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum, interacting with peers and participating in activities.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, wellbeing and any incidents.
• Communicate regularly with the class teacher, SENDCO and the pupil’s family.

Required profile

• 2:1 or first‑class degree from a UK university (top 30 ranking preferred).
• Previous experience supporting children with additional needs in a UK school setting.
• Patient, warm, and highly motivated with strong communication skills.
• Legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).

Required skills

• Understanding of SEND policies and EHCP implementation.
• Ability to keep detailed, confidential records.
• Effective collaboration with teachers, SENDCO and families.
