1:1 Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a secondary‑school student with challenging behaviour in Liverpool. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to make a real difference by providing tailored academic and emotional support.

Key responsibilities

• Work one‑to‑one with a designated student, supporting learning across the curriculum.
• Adapt lesson materials to meet the student’s individual needs.
• Promote engagement, confidence and independence.
• Liaise with teachers, the SENCO and parents/carers.
• Assist in delivering the student’s Individual Education Plan and behaviour strategies.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people, preferably with additional learning needs.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable attitude.
• Relevant qualification such as a Teaching Assistant certificate (advantageous).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check with online update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering the last 24 months.

What we offer

• Competitive daily rate of £92‑£110.
• Full‑time schedule (8:30 am – 3:30 pm).
• Long‑term temporary contract starting September 2026.
