1:1 Teaching Assistant – Mixed Secondary School (London)

About the role
This temporary full‑time position supports pupils aged 11‑18 with SEND needs in a mixed‑ability secondary school in Tower Hamlets. You will work one‑to‑one with students, helping them achieve academic and personal goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support for SEND students inside and outside the classroom.
- Promote general wellbeing, social development and independent learning.
- Assist teachers with lesson adaptations and individualized plans.
- Monitor progress and report observations to senior staff.
Required profile
- Experience as a 1:1 teaching assistant in a mainstream or SEN setting.
- Level 2 (or higher) qualification in a support‑related area.
- Familiarity with ASD, ADHD and SEMH student needs.
- Ability to work with mixed‑ability groups aged 11‑18.
