1:1 Teaching Assistant - Year 5 - Birkenhead

About the role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work one‑to‑one with a Year 5 pupil in a friendly primary school in Birkenhead. The role runs from September 2026 until Easter 2027 and focuses on supporting the child’s learning, confidence and wellbeing throughout the school day.
Key responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to the Year 5 pupil during all classroom activities.
- Assist with learning tasks, classroom routines and personalised learning plans.
- Encourage the pupil’s confidence, social interaction and overall wellbeing.
- Work closely with the class teacher to adapt resources and strategies as needed.
Required profile
- Experience working with primary‑aged children.
- Comfortable delivering one‑to‑one support.
- Patient, reliable and proactive attitude.
- Experience with children who have additional needs is beneficial.
