12-Month Credit Trading Business Management Internship

About the role

This 12‑month internship sits in the Global Markets Division’s Capital Markets trading room in London. You will work closely with the Credit Trading Business Manager, supporting strategy execution, IT project monitoring and compliance across both secondary and primary credit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring product‑line strategy and related IT projects.
• Act as first line of defence to ensure compliance with external and internal regulations.
• Support the production of trading and sales management reports.
• Handle day‑to‑day queries from IT, Compliance, Risk, Finance and other business functions.
• Produce daily and weekly Credit P&L and conduct commercial analyses.
• Respond to operational risk, permanent control and audit enquiries, conducting investigations as needed.
• Review, update and maintain Credit Trading policies and procedures.
• Improve processes through automation and spreadsheet enhancements.
• Prepare analyses, business plans and governance presentations for Credit stakeholders.
• Assist in ongoing and key desk projects.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities and a keen interest in financial markets.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, global environment.
• Effective communication with diverse stakeholders such as DCM, Syndicate and Sales teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data analysis tools, particularly Excel.
• Experience creating presentations and reports (PowerPoint).
