1st Line Support Engineer – IT Helpdesk

About the role

We are looking for a motivated 1st Line Support Engineer to join our growing IT team in South London. You will provide friendly, hands‑on technical assistance to internal users while developing a solid foundation in Microsoft technologies and networking.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st Line IT support via phone, email and face‑to‑face.
• Log, manage and resolve tickets in the service desk system.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Maintain user accounts, passwords and permissions in Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktops, hardware, software and printers.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required.
• Create and update IT documentation as needed.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in an IT Support or Service Desk role (or equivalent).
• Passion for technology and delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
