2391 Testing Electrician – Social Housing (Widnes)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced 2391 Testing Electrician to join a busy social housing maintenance contract in Widnes, Cheshire. You will be responsible for ensuring electrical safety and compliance across a large portfolio of domestic properties.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in occupied and void social housing units.
• Test and inspect electrical installations in line with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Diagnose faults, identify non‑compliant work and carry out remedial actions where required.
• Produce accurate certification and compliance documentation.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and meet agreed timescales.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and housing officers.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Testing & Inspection Qualification.
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• ECS / JIB Gold Card (preferred).
• Previous experience completing EICRs in domestic or social housing settings.
• Full UK driving licence.
