2nd Fix Joiner – Night Shift (Retail Fit‑out)

About the role

Time Recruitment is seeking experienced 2nd Fix Joiners to join a night‑shift refurbishment team at the Dunelm store in Chester. The role involves high‑quality finishing joinery work within a fast‑paced retail fit‑out environment, starting at 5:00 PM each evening.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of 2nd fix joinery work.
• Install internal doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves.
• Fit wall paneling, timber cladding and decorative finishes.
• Install counters, display units, shelving and retail fixtures.
• Complete finishing works to a high standard within programme deadlines.
• Read and interpret drawings and site instructions.
• Work closely with site management and other trades.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area and adhere to health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Report any defects, issues or material shortages to the Site Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a 2nd Fix Joiner, preferably on retail fit‑out or refurbishment projects.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Own tools and personal protective equipment.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: IPAF and/or PASMA qualifications, previous experience on Dunelm projects, First Aid qualification.
