2nd Line Support Technician – IT Support

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing technology services firm, is seeking a motivated 2nd Line Support Technician to join their Cambridge team. You will provide both remote and on‑site assistance to small and medium‑business clients, ensuring their IT environments run smoothly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain SMB networks, PCs and servers.
• Provide remote and on‑site support for Windows 7/8 workstations.
• Install, maintain and migrate Office 365 environments.
• Manage Microsoft Exchange (2007‑2016) mailboxes.
• Set up email accounts and host websites on Linux and Windows servers.
• Administer WHM web servers, DNS records and IP phone systems via web interfaces.
• Support customer‑specific applications and troubleshoot issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an MSP or software house is desirable.
• Team‑player with a good sense of humour.
• Keen to learn and develop technical expertise.
• Confident communication skills, especially over the phone.
