3.5 Tonne Driver – Refrigerated Van

About the role

People Solutions is recruiting a 3.5 tonne driver for a well‑established logistics client in Smethwick, West Midlands. The role involves operating a refrigerated van to complete multi‑drop deliveries across the region, offering a competitive hourly rate and the chance to progress to a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out 20‑25 multi‑drop deliveries per day, ensuring timely service.
• Load and unload the vehicle, securing all goods for safe transport.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, report defects and maintain the refrigeration unit at required temperatures.
• Complete accurate delivery paperwork and maintain records.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site personnel.

Required profile

• Minimum two years holding a valid Category B driving licence.
• Previous experience in multi‑drop or van delivery work, preferably with refrigerated vehicles.
• Good knowledge of road traffic regulations and vehicle operation.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and report safety concerns.
