7.5 Tonne Driver

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated 7.5 tonne driver to join our expanding team at Martindales Trade Frames. Based at our head office in Bolton, you will play a vital part in delivering goods safely and efficiently while supporting our continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Operate 7.5 tonne vehicles to transport goods to designated locations, complying with road safety regulations.
• Carry out pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring accuracy and security.
• Plan routes to meet delivery schedules and minimise travel time.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs, mileage and fuel consumption.
• Provide professional customer service and represent the company positively.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve delivery issues.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Valid 7.5 tonne driving licence with CPC qualification.
• Previous experience driving 7.5 tonne vehicles, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and route planning.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends and occasional overnight travel.
• Physical fitness to lift and move heavy items.
