7.5T Customer Delivery & Installation Driver (Class 2)

About the role

This is a long‑term temporary position for a qualified HGV Class 2 driver to deliver, install and demonstrate white‑goods and other household items for a large retailer in Plymouth. You will work 7 am‑5 pm, five days a week, and be paid £14.50 per hour with weekly pay.

Key responsibilities

• Safely deliver, install and demonstrate products such as white goods, televisions and cookers in customers’ homes.
• Provide excellent customer service, keep customers informed and ensure high‑quality workmanship.
• Use handheld devices to record deliveries and obtain customer signatures.
• Communicate regularly with the site to manage route changes and resolve issues.
• Secure loads safely and handle products with care throughout the day.
• Liaise with manufacturers at the point of delivery when required.
• Collect and deliver items from retail stores, including tote boxes.
• Drive in full compliance with transport regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Effective communication skills, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem‑solving skills and calmness under pressure.
• Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
• Previous experience driving a 7.5 t vehicle or eligibility to train.
• Full UK/EU C1 driving licence (max 6 penalty points) or working towards it.
• Driver CPC qualification and a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
