About the role
We are seeking experienced 7.5‑tonne vehicle drivers to join the Royal Mail network in Edinburgh on a temporary basis. The role involves transporting mail and parcels across the region, operating a 7.5t vehicle and completing manual entry tasks as required.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a 7.5t vehicle safely and efficiently to collect and deliver mail.
- Perform manual entry of delivery information at designated points.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any issues.
Required profile
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years.
- No more than 6 penalty points.
- At least 180 days on the licence card.
- Ability to complete manual entry tasks.
- Cannot hold DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
- Successful DBS security check.
Required skills
- Operation of a 7.5t heavy vehicle.
