A Level Tutor – Science, Psychology or Economics (Part‑time)

About the role
This part‑time, fixed‑term position is based at Manchester City Football Academy and supports the academic development of players in the Women’s Professional Development Phase. You will plan, teach and assess A‑Level courses in Science (Chemistry or Biology), Psychology or Economics, helping players balance elite football commitments with their studies.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver A‑Level curricula tailored to the academy schedule.
- Create learning materials, lesson plans and assessments for Science, Psychology or Economics.
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback and report grades.
- Liaise with schools, colleges and external education partners.
- Contribute to education administration, including progress reporting and safeguarding duties.
Required profile
- Degree‑level education in Science, Psychology, Economics or a closely related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or QTLS, with ability to teach at KS5/post‑16 level.
- Experience teaching and supporting young people in a secondary or post‑16 setting.
- Proven ability to plan, deliver and assess A‑Level learning in the relevant subjects.
Required skills
- Curriculum design and lesson planning for A‑Level subjects.
- Assessment creation and grading.
- Progress tracking and reporting.
- Effective communication with students, parents and educational partners.
