ACA Audit Trainee – Full‑time – £26‑28k

About the role

Join an independent firm of statutory auditors, chartered accountants and tax advisors in Esher as an ACA Audit Trainee. Over a three‑year Level 7 apprenticeship you will gain hands‑on audit experience across a diverse client base, from owner‑managed businesses to large corporates.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing audit engagements for clients in various sectors.
• Perform substantive testing, document findings and prepare audit work‑papers.
• Communicate audit issues and recommendations to senior staff and clients.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 2:1 degree or higher (any discipline) or 3 A‑levels (B or above) for school leavers.
• 120 UCAS points (excluding AS levels and General Studies).
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
• Motivated, analytical and comfortable working with numbers and data.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Analytical mindset for interpreting financial data.
