Academic Career Development Fellow – Gender Studies & HSPS

About the role
The University of Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies, in partnership with Peterhouse, invites applications for an Isaac Newton Trust Academic Career Development Fellowship in Gender Studies and Human, Social, and Political Sciences. This 12‑month fixed‑term position offers protected research time, teaching responsibilities across the Faculty and College, and mentorship from senior academics.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead an independent research project at a level comparable to lecturing staff.
- Deliver undergraduate and/or master's teaching through supervisions, seminars and lectures.
- Supervise and advise students as a College Director of Studies for Politics papers.
- Participate in departmental and college academic activities, including grant applications and academic administration.
Required profile
- Early‑career researcher with less than three years post‑PhD experience (excluding career breaks).
- Holder of a PhD or equivalent, or submission of the doctoral dissertation by the application deadline.
- Demonstrated research potential in gender studies, HSPS or related fields.
- Enthusiasm for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
