About the role
The school in Waltham Forest is seeking an Academic Mentor to work one‑to‑one with pupils aged 11‑18 who need extra academic support. You will help boost confidence and attainment for low‑ability students in a mainstream secondary setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide targeted, one‑to‑one academic assistance to students with learning difficulties.
- Develop and deliver personalised learning plans to improve attainment.
- Collaborate with teachers and senior leaders to align support with school strategies.
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
Required profile
- Experience working in a mainstream or SEN secondary school.
- Degree preferred and DBS clearance required.
- Nurturing, student‑centred approach to education.
