Academic Support Worker – College (West London)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Academic Support Worker to join a college in West London. You will work directly with students, helping them access the curriculum, develop study skills and overcome learning barriers. The role is full‑time and temporary, starting in September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group academic support to learners.
- Assist students in developing organisation, study techniques and independence.
- Adapt resources and materials to meet individual needs, including SEN, ASD, ADHD and other learning difficulties.
- Support students during lessons and independent study sessions.
- Collaborate with lecturers, tutors and the learning support team.
- Track and monitor student progress and engagement.
Required profile
- Experience working with young people or adults in an education or support setting.
- Strong academic background (A‑levels or degree preferred).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, adaptable and supportive approach.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners.
