Academic Teaching Assistant – RE Graduate (Full‑Time)

About the role
This is a full‑time Academic Teaching Assistant position for a recent Religious Education graduate. You will join a high‑performing secondary school in Kensington & Chelsea, supporting RE and humanities lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4 throughout the academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Support learning in RE and humanities lessons
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom delivery
- Help students of varying abilities achieve their targets
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Assist with revision, exam preparation and progress tracking
Required profile
- Degree in RE, Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics or a closely related subject
- Full‑time availability from September 2026 to July 2027
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Strong communication skills and passion for working with young people
Required skills
- Effective communication
- Ability to deliver 1:1 and small‑group support
- Organisational skills for lesson preparation
- Basic knowledge of RE and humanities curricula
