Accommodation Hire Controller

About the role

Jarvie Plant Ltd is seeking an Accommodation Hire Controller to join its JP Accommodation team. You will support major construction and civil‑engineering projects by managing orders, inquiries and deliveries for modular buildings and multi‑cabin site setups, ensuring smooth project execution and high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and oversee large, complex accommodation and modular building projects.
• Prepare layout drawings, quotations and secure orders.
• Manage contracts, invoicing and delivery planning, including method statements.
• Coordinate activities between customers, workshops, transport, subcontractors and internal support departments.
• Monitor project progress, meet deadlines and handle off‑hire requirements.
• Support new and used accommodation sales and generate related reports.
• Assist the Accommodation Business Development Manager with major project opportunities.
• Provide administrative support to the Accommodation manager and team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies on‑site.

Required profile

• Strong administrative experience with solid computer proficiency.
• Excellent numeracy and written communication skills.
• Experience planning, managing and coordinating project activities to meet deadlines.
• Background in the hire industry, especially portable accommodation, is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
