Accommodation Support Officer – Lancashire

About the role
As an Accommodation Support Officer you will help adult males in custody secure suitable housing and navigate the associated processes. Working closely with probation practitioners, you will assess individual needs and develop personalised accommodation plans.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants and conduct initial housing assessments.
- Develop and implement tailored accommodation plans with agreed interventions.
- Support participants in understanding their rights and navigating housing decisions.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including housing providers and probation teams.
- Maintain accurate records and report on progress and outcomes.
Required profile
- Empathy and resilience when working with diverse and vulnerable individuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building professional relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to learn about criminal‑justice and housing systems.
- Open to candidates from social services, mental health, education or recent graduates.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive salary £25,877 – £29,000 per year, dependent on experience.
