Account Director – Enterprise Sales

About the role

This senior commercial leadership position reports to the Head of Sales and is responsible for managing alt21’s largest, most strategic enterprise accounts in the UK. You will own the full sales cycle, drive revenue growth and build a high‑performing team of analysts and business development representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and close strategic client relationships end‑to‑end across alt21’s full product suite.
• Drive enterprise‑level revenue growth by targeting long‑cycle, complex accounts.
• Build, lead and develop a team of Analysts, BDRs and Senior BDRs, setting sales standards.
• Act as an S2 closer to support colleagues on high‑value deals.
• Represent alt21 at senior commercial levels with key clients and partners.
• Champion automation and tooling to scale processes and reduce manual work.
• Identify and push for system, dashboard or integration improvements.
• Use commercial data and reporting to guide team focus and strategy.
• Partner with the Head of Sales on enterprise growth strategy and broader commercial planning.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, onboarding and product teams to ensure service excellence for strategic accounts.

Required profile

• Proven track record in enterprise or strategic account sales, not just high‑volume transactional selling.
• Full confidence executing across alt21’s product set, with deep product knowledge.
• Prior experience leading, managing or formally mentoring a sales team.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to operate autonomously.
• Comfortable being accountable for outcomes beyond personal sales numbers.
