Account Director – Paid Media (Hybrid, £60‑65k)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead paid‑media client relationships at a growing independent agency in Chelmsford. You will shape integrated media strategies, mentor junior staff, and remain hands‑on in campaign planning and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the senior strategic contact for a portfolio of key client accounts.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and identify opportunities for account growth.
• Develop integrated, multi‑channel media strategies aligned to client objectives.
• Lead campaign planning, performance reviews and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal specialists to ensure high‑quality campaign execution.
• Manage account profitability, forecasting and commercial performance.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the client services team.
• Contribute to the agency’s continued growth and success.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience within a paid‑media or performance‑marketing agency.
• Proven track record managing senior client relationships across multiple accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Experience mentoring or line‑managing junior staff.
• Excellent presentation, communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, organised and solutions‑focused approach.
