Account Manager – B2B Media & Events

About the role

An established B2B media and events organisation is seeking an ambitious Account Manager to join its growing sales team in Leeds. You will manage and develop a portfolio of professional‑services clients, selling integrated advertising, sponsorship, digital marketing and event solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of advertising and sponsorship clients.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers.
• Create and deliver tailored commercial proposals and presentations.
• Achieve and exceed annual sales targets.
• Sell sponsorship, advertising and promotional opportunities across events and media channels.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales‑pipeline reporting.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing and events teams to develop compelling commercial packages.
• Represent the business at industry events, conferences and exhibitions.

Required profile

• Proven track record in B2B sales, account management or business development.
• Experience generating leads and managing the full sales cycle.
• Strong proposal writing and presentation abilities.
• Knowledge of advertising, sponsorship, media or marketing solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and organised approach.
• Confidence engaging with senior‑level decision‑makers.
