Account Manager – Contractor Payroll / Umbrella Services

About the role

This is a genuine opportunity to join an award‑winning payroll provider that serves the recruitment and contractor market. You will inherit an established portfolio of agency accounts and have the chance to grow revenue and contractor volumes from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with recruitment agency clients.
• Act as the primary contact for agencies and contractor queries.
• Support onboarding and ongoing account activity.
• Identify and deliver growth opportunities within existing accounts.
• Increase contractor numbers and revenue across your portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal payroll and compliance teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience in the contractor or recruitment market, preferably in umbrella payroll, contractor payroll, recruitment consultancy or payroll services.
• Strong relationship‑building abilities and a commercial mindset.
• Confidence managing multiple client accounts.
• Professional, organised and service‑driven approach.
