Account Manager – DNOs (UK Distribution Network Operators)

About the role

Join Siemens Smart Infrastructure to act as the commercial and technical interface for UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs). You will support the modernisation, reinforcement and decarbonisation of distribution networks across Scotland and Northern England, promoting Siemens’ end‑to‑end portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the DNO opportunity pipeline aligned with asset replacement, reinforcement, Net Zero and digitalisation programmes.
• Engage DNO asset managers, engineers, project teams and supply‑chain partners to position Siemens solutions early in project lifecycles.
• Coordinate internal Siemens teams (engineering, bid management, service and management) to deliver timely, compliant and competitive proposals.
• Maintain accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking and customer data in Salesforce CRM.
• Support execution of Siemens’ DNO sales strategy using market and regulatory intelligence (e.g., RIIO ED investment drivers).

Required profile

• Strong relationship‑building skills with confidence engaging DNO engineers, project managers and procurement teams.
• Clear sense of ownership and accountability for long‑term customer outcomes.
• Growth mindset capable of navigating a technically and commercially complex DNO environment.
• Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering is desirable but not essential.
• Relevant experience in sales/business development within UK utilities, DNO networks, substations or medium‑voltage power systems.
