Account Manager – Member Engagement

About the role

The Account Manager – Member Engagement will act as the primary liaison between the Chamber and its member organisations. Based in the Luton office, you will ensure members receive tangible value from their membership and help drive retention through proactive relationship building.

Key responsibilities

• Engage regularly with members via phone, email and face‑to‑face at events to discuss their needs and provide advice.
• Identify and facilitate collaboration opportunities between members, arranging introductions where appropriate.
• Promote upcoming Chamber events, encourage attendance and support member participation.
• Monitor policy, legislative and economic developments that may affect members and communicate relevant updates.
• Inform members about grants, funding opportunities and other financial support.
• Represent the Chamber at events as the point of contact for membership engagement.
• Conduct renewal conversations, record reasons for departures and work to improve retention.
• Support marketing by suggesting content of interest to members.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, keeping contact and business details up to date.

• CRM (customer relationship management) system proficiency.
