Accountancy Placement Student (12‑month)

About the role

This 12‑month university placement gives you the chance to rotate through the core business areas of Audit, Tax and Accounts. You will gain hands‑on experience in each discipline while deciding which field you wish to pursue for a graduate career. At the end of the year, both you and Menzies LLP will consider a place on the Graduate Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate across Audit, Tax and Accounts departments, supporting engagements and client work.
• Assist with audit procedures, tax compliance tasks and accounting assignments while learning the fundamentals of each area.
• Participate in regular reviews to evaluate progress and suitability for a graduate role.

Required profile

• Collaborative, eager to take on new challenges.
• On track to achieve at least a 2:2 undergraduate degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of 2 A‑levels (A‑C) plus an additional A‑level or equivalent.
• 5 GCSEs A*‑C (including Maths and English).
• Ability to absorb new information quickly and adapt.
• Comfortable working with numbers and strong attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
