About the role

We are partnering with a forward‑thinking accountancy practice in Exeter to recruit a Senior Manager for Business Services. The role combines day‑to‑day team leadership with broader business responsibilities, offering a unique blend of technical accounting work and strategic development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and mentor a dynamic team of accountants.
• Plan workflow, prepare budgets and produce forecasts.
• Drive networking, business development and identify new service opportunities for clients.
• Oversee statutory accounting and tax compliance for a varied commercial caseload.
• Act as a trusted business advisor, delivering high‑quality commercial assignments.

Required profile

• Proven confidence and personality to lead a busy practice team.
• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Extensive experience as an Accountancy Practice Manager or Senior Manager.
• Strong technical competence in statutory accounting and tax compliance.
