Accountant – Client Portfolio & Team Leadership

About the role

Our client, a Top 50 firm, is looking for an ambitious Accountant to manage a substantial and diverse client portfolio within their growing North West practice. The role also involves supporting the Managing Director in the day‑to‑day running of the office.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a varied client portfolio, ensuring high‑quality service and long‑term relationships.
• Mentor and develop a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate with Directors and Partners to shape regional strategies.
• Lead change initiatives to improve operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with post‑qualification experience in practice or significant QBE.
• Proven track record managing client portfolios and delivering audit, accounts and advisory services.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
