Accountant – Full‑time, Hassocks

About the role
We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join a successful client in Hassocks on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role is office‑based, Monday to Friday, 9 am‑5 pm, with free parking available.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare accounts up to CT600 level.
- Handle VAT preparation using various software systems.
- Prepare personal tax returns.
- Communicate tax liabilities to clients via phone, email or in person.
- Meet filing deadlines and submit returns.
- Liaise with external bodies and provide general client advice.
Required profile
- ICAEW or ACA qualified, preferably with some practice experience.
- Proven experience in an accountancy role covering VAT, CT600 and personal tax.

- Salary between £40,000 and £50,000 per year.
