Accountant – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

Gülermak Renewables is expanding its portfolio of solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK and Europe. As a new accountant you will join a cross‑border finance team, supporting the launch of dedicated accounts for each renewable project and helping shape the financial foundation of a fast‑growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare bookkeeping entries for quarterly reporting using the IFS ERP system.
• Compile financial statements and complete UK tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting and tax regulations.
• Support group reporting for UK, Polish and German operations.
• Set up and maintain separate project‑level accounts for new solar and BESS projects.
• Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks and process bank transfers.

Required profile

• ACCA qualified or actively working towards ACCA certification.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, cross‑border mindset.

Required skills

• ACCA qualification.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems (IFS preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
