Accounting Manager – Great Britain, Ireland & South Africa

About the role

Miele is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for its Great Britain, Ireland and South Africa cluster. You will oversee a small team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the business with strategic financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of two accountants, fostering collaboration with the wider Finance team and shared service centre.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, delivering timely and compliant P&L, balance‑sheet and cash‑flow reports.
• Oversee tax and credit management, ensuring compliance with local legislation, transfer‑pricing rules and Group policies.
• Act as Compliance Ambassador, promoting strong financial governance and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate finance projects and harmonise financial processes across the cluster in line with regional guidance.
• Provide practical, value‑driven financial solutions to support operational priorities and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven accounting experience with strong tax and financial‑compliance knowledge in an international environment.
• Finance or accounting qualification (CFA, CPA, FA or equivalent).
• Commercial awareness, excellent analytical abilities and clear communication skills.
• Experience working across multiple countries and within a matrix organisation.
• Leadership experience with a passion for developing people.
• Fluent written and spoken English and a meticulous, collaborative work style.
