Accounting Services Manager

About the role

Our client, a Big 4 firm in Manchester, is seeking an experienced Accounting Services Manager to lead the delivery of outsourced accounting solutions for a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients. You will oversee statutory reporting, provide advisory support, and ensure compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements for a range of clients.
• Deliver outsourced accounting services, including bookkeeping and periodic management accounts.
• Support client secondments by providing additional resources when required.
• Manage the preparation of statutory accounts for international entities.
• Advise on statutory compliance, financial reporting processes and cycle improvements.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or international equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, able to work from first principles.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proven experience supervising, coaching and developing junior staff.
• Experience in a practice or client‑facing environment.
