Accounting Services Senior Associate

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant to join the Accounting Services team of a Big 4 firm in Manchester. You will work in a technically strong, collaborative environment delivering high‑quality corporate accounting services to national and multinational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of statutory financial statements (SFS)
• Bookkeeping and preparation of periodic management accounts
• Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high‑quality outputs
• Supporting ad‑hoc accounting and advisory projects
• Participating in client secondments and on‑site work as required
• Contributing to proposals and growth of the accounting compliance offering
• Supporting process improvement, technology, risk, and control initiatives
• Managing and mentoring junior team members

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or international equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially financial reporting
• Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS (US GAAP exposure beneficial)
• Experience using accounting software and strong Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
• Excellent communication and client‑focused approach
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and effective within a team
