Accounts and Client Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts and Client Manager to join a well‑established chartered accountancy firm near Newton Abbot. In this pivotal support role you will manage a diverse client portfolio, delivering accounting, tax and advisory services while supporting the directors and contributing to the firm’s continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for a portfolio of sole trader, partnership and limited company clients across various sectors.
• Prepare and review accounts, tax returns and related financial statements.
• Develop and nurture client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional advisory and planning services.
• Lead and mentor a small team, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Assist senior directors with strategic projects and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with managerial experience in an accountancy practice.
• Proven track record delivering accounts, tax and general practice services to a range of clients.
• Ambitious professional seeking clear career progression within a reputable firm.
