Accounts Assistant – 12 month Fixed-Term Contract

About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business as an Accounts Assistant on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work within a supportive finance team, focusing on accounts payable and gaining exposure across the wider accounts function.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the accounts payable function and maintain supplier accounts.
- Process purchase invoices and ensure accurate recording.
- Prepare and support supplier payments.
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations.
- Handle supplier queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist the wider finance team with ad‑hoc duties as required.
Required profile
- Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or in transactional finance.
- Experience working with accounts payable or purchase ledger.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Confidence using finance systems and Excel.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work within a busy team.
